SISU Thunderbirds Announce First-Ever Alumni Game
The SISU Thunderbirds are proud to launch a brand-new program tradition with the inaugural Thunderbirds Alumni Game, bringing former players back together to celebrate the history and growth of our organization. From the early days of the Columbus Vikings to the rise of the SISU Thunderbirds, generations of athletes have contributed to building a hockey community rooted in development, culture, and pride. Now, they’re invited to return to the ice where it all began.
Free Registration
Registration is free, and all past Columbus Vikings and SISU Thunderbirds players aged 17 and older are welcome to join us for this exciting new tradition. Come reconnect with teammates, friends, and coaches while celebrating our shared hockey history. While participation comes at no cost, voluntary donations to the Latvala Scholarship Fund are greatly appreciated and will directly support future Thunderbirds players in pursuing their hockey goals.
When & Where
Alumni Game will take place December 28th from 3:10–6:10 PM at OhioHealth Chiller Easton.
Jerseys
Participants are encouraged to wear their original Thunderbirds jerseys if available. Those without one are asked to bring both a light and dark jersey to help balance teams.
Games
With a full three-hour ice block reserved, the event will accommodate multiple teams and feature several short games or a mini-tournament format, ensuring every player gets meaningful time on the ice.
